Magic, romance and sparkle filled the stage when ballet dancers performed the fairytale Sleeping Beauty in Shrewsbury.
Russian State Ballet and Opera House arrived at Theatre Severn this weekend and on Saturday its members danced out the story of a princess who slept for 100 years.

Story – Sleeping beauty
Wicked Fairy Carabosse curses Queen Aurora at her baptism foretelling she will die on her Sixteenth wedding after pricking her handy on a knitting needle. But the Lilac Fairy softens the strike by modifying the fortune; instead of passing away she will rest until a royal prince kisses her.
The dancing company put on a mesmerizing development of the much-loved dancing which taken the audience’s interest from the moment the curtain lifted.
Guzel Syleymanova, the ballerina who danced the part of Queen Aurora, provided a sterling performance. Every shift and gesture was conducted with quality and on her experience was a grin which shown the emotions of the 16 year-old elegant. Her experience movement also conducted a key part when her character’s handy was pricked by the needle.

This last act was the wedding of Queen Aurora and Royal prince Wish which involved visitor performances from Little Red Ridinghood and the hair, Cinderella and her prince and Queen Florine and the Bluebird.
Puss in Boots and the White cat also arrived and gave a great performance where even the dancers’ hands gestured like paws.
The huge outfits were shiny and vibrant with whites, pink, lilacs and doldrums and ornamented with glimmer that glittered in the level light.The sets were also amazing creating the back drop of a huge building and also a woodlands dense with results in.
The night saw viewers members booing at the wicked fairy, having a laugh at the gently spread comedy and giving a great circular of applause as the performers took their final bow.

In the show represented “The Empathy Hearts,” the duo will give a performance called “Hand in Hand”, which has made their name internationally.
28-year-old Zhai Xiaowei lost his left leg when he was 4, while Ma Li lost her right arm in an accident in 1996 when she was 19.
The pair met each other in 2005 and then encouraged each other to practice ballet. In 2007, their “Hand in Hand” performance won the Silver prize in CCTV’s (China’s national TV channel) Dance Contest, which attracted around 7,000 participants.
“The Empathy Hearts” is to be held by the Hanoi-based Family and Children magazine, the Capital Communications Corporation, and the city’s Red Cross, and will also feature a number of local artists.
Also at the show, around VND4billion (US$200,000) will be handed over to children with congenital cardiac diseases as well as disabled kids and dioxin victims across the country.
“The Empathy Hearts” will take place at 8pm on April 21 at the Hanoi Opera House at 1 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District.

- Sunburn Dance
More than hundred foreign visitors participated in sunburn dance for Asia’s Premier Electronic Music festival, in candolim, Goa from 27th to 29th. Dmark and Nikhil Chinapa are the festival director of this third year celebration.
The festival has invited global clubbing brand and dance behemoth Gatecrasher for the label stage.
Shalindera Singh, director of the dance programme, said that “Sunburn is a festival which allows you to be who you are and fortunately through the platform of music which I think is a universal language of celebration. We are really fortunate that Goa has India’s own festival of music and dance called Sunburn which is not only India’s largest but also Asia’s number one”.
