74. When will my dancer be ready to perform or compete?
Answer:
We always encourage our dancers to attend performances throughout the year. We allow dancers to perform with the school as little as knowing one step! Sign-ups are always posted in the studio for upcoming performances. Dates and show times are also posted on our bullitan board in the studio.Local competitions, or Feis, are held throughout the year all over the western region, and United States. Dancers may choose to attend competitons that suit their schedule. Competition attendance is dependent on your dancer ability. Dancers may be ready to compete after the first month of lesson, but some may need futher instruction. Ask your teacher weather or not your dancer is ready to compete. Irish dance competitions have many catagories suitable for all levels of dancing. All dancers must start at the Beginner level of competition.
