Company Detail |
|
The Ballet National de Marseille, under the director-ship of the ex-Paris Opera Ballet star Marie-Claude Pietragalla ever since 1998 and gave two performances of a new production of "Giselle" at the Macau civilizing Centre. Quillere has transposed the setting of the ballet from 19th century Rhineland to the 1950s, with modern sets and costumes designed by Rodolfo Natale. Quillere has kept the customary choreography in Act 2 more or less in one piece, but has introduced some modernization in Act 1. |
