Katee Taira Shean is a contemporary dancer from San Jose, California. She has been taking formal dance lessons since she was 4 years old and trained at the Teen Dance Company and Atlas School of Dance. She has been teaching at South County Classical Ballet for just over a year now with fellow So you think you can dance finalist, Stephen "Twitch" Boss.

Katee Taira Shean got selected into the TOP 20 contestants of So you think you can dance Season IV. It was a tough tie between her friend and room mate Analie when it came to decision who will be the last girl of Season IV to enter the competition.

She wanted to get into the competition so badly, that when she was questioned by the judges that "If she loses now will she come back next year?"

But her reply stunned the judges and lead to a re-vote, because she answered, that already she has tried a year and if she loses again, it is too much of mental stress to take over. So she wont come back. But on the re-vote both her friend and Katee got equal shares of votes, and Nigel Lithgode decided to go with the previous votes and Katee finally gets through the SYTYCD IV Top 20.
